K.I.S. Medical Records Solutions has all the necessary safeguards, and has taken every step to secure the privacy of your medical files. Our computers and your files cannot be accessed from an outside source. When medical records are requested, only authorized persons with your password can obtain your information. When it’s not an emergency and we are unsure of the request, we will call you by phone to verify the release of your information. In the event of an emergency, we will request information about the facility and the physician’s medical license numbers. With our Medical Record Solutions system you, and only you, are in control of who receives your confidential medical information. All requests for files are stored in a data bank. Our log can provide immediate recall of requested medical records.
K.I.S. can make your medical records available via the Internet, but we do not recommend doing so. Many institutions (banks and the stock market) have not been completely secure. Even government computers have been violated over the Internet. The security of your personal medical records is one of our most important priorities.
